Description of Duties:

Responsibilities include:



  • Planning and leading weekly club meetings

  • Assisting beginners with basic knitting and crochet techniques

  • Encouraging creativity and participation

  • Helping organize materials, patterns, and group projects

  • Creating a fun, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere

  • Flexible weekly time commitment

  • Suitable for all skill levels, especially those with basic knitting or crochet experience

  • Opportunity to work with community members in a relaxed social setting

  • Volunteers working with children will be supervised at all times and will never be left alone with children
   
Skills Required:

  • Commit to Kids training is required for all volunteers, regardless of age

  • Volunteers aged 18+ will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check

  • Basic knitting and/or crochet knowledge

  • Patience and communication skills

  • Creativity and organization

  • Friendly and welcoming attitude

  • Ability to teach or demonstrate simple techniques

Weekly commitment for 10 weeks. Fridays. (July 3-Aug 28)
