Description of Duties:

We are looking for a volunteer to organize and lead a 9-10 week Dungeons & Dragons campaign during the summer. Sessions will take place every Friday and require approximately 1-3 hours per week.


Responsibilities include:



  • Guiding new players through the basics of Dungeons & Dragons

  • Helping children design and understand their characters

  • Creating a fun, inclusive, and engaging gameplay experience


Details:



  • Working with children ages 6-12

  • All activities will be fully supervised

  • Volunteers will never be left alone with children

  • If volunteer is over 18, Criminal record and Child Abuse checks are required.


This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys storytelling, teamwork, and introducing young players to tabletop role-playing games.

   
Skills Required:

  • Commit to kids online training is required of all volunteers with our organization.

  • Basic knowledge of Dungeons & Dragons gameplay and character creation

  • Strong communication and storytelling abilities

  • Patience and enthusiasm when working with children

  • Ability to explain rules and concepts in a simple, engaging way

  • Creativity and improvisation skills

  • Teamwork and collaboration

  • Reliability and punctuality for weekly sessions

  • Ability to create a welcoming and inclusive environment

  • Experience working with children is an asset, but not required
