Description of Duties:

Distribute flyers and/or put up posters on community notice boards, businesses and homes. Volunteers will be provided with flyers and/or posters, mounting supplies, location lists and instructions.


You must provide your own transportation to and from your assigned area(s). Flyer distribution activities are scheduled to start at 11 am and finish at 3 pm on each delivery date.


Distribution areas include: South Osborne, Osborne Village, Norwood Flats , Wildwood, Elm Park, Fort Garry, Corydon, West Broadway, Downtown, Broadway and more.


Pre-delivery meetings will be held at Magpie's Café located at 685 Osborne Street at 11 am.

   
Skills Required:

Ability to take direction and follow instruction to put up posters on bulletin boards and/or deliver flyers to home and business mailboxes in a number of key areas in the city of Winnipeg.


Able to walk and use stairways to put flyer in mail boxes.


Reaching ability to post posters securely on bulletin boards upon receiving approval from the respective owner(s) of bulletin boards.

   
Skills Gained/Related Careers:

Ability to follow instructions to accomplish tasks as assigned under the direction of the leader.


Good communication skills with prospective owners of businesses.
