Organizational Description: The Manitoba Marathon takes place annually on Father's day, and offers 6 different running events for all running abilities and ages. The Manitoba Marathon Foundation supports projects for individuals who are living with an intellectual disability. While staying true to our mandate, the Manitoba Marathon is proud to offer our 26 Miles for 26 Charity Partner Program. When partnered with the Manitoba Marathon, other charity organizations are able to raise funds and awareness through the largest running event in Manitoba.

Description of Duties:

Welcome Volunteers - Soles4Souls x Champions in Training


We're thrilled to partner with Soles4Souls Canada for a special 2026 initiative supporting the Manitoba Marathon Champions in Training Program. Gifting 250 underserved youth a pair of brand new shoes/socks

About Soles4Souls Canada
Soles4Souls Canada is a nonprofit organization that provides new shoes and clothing to people in need, helping remove barriers and create opportunity through proper footwear.


About the Program
Champions in Training is a free, community-rooted program that has been part of Manitoba schools for over 40 years. It provides resources, reduced rates, and support to help students build confidence, stay active, and experience the Manitoba Marathon.


About the Partnership
Together, Soles4Souls Canada and the Manitoba Marathon will provide 250 underserved children with brand new, properly fitted shoes-pre-ordered to each child's size and preference.


Volunteer Role
Volunteers will help create a welcoming, supportive experience by assisting with shoe distribution and fittings, ensuring each child feels comfortable, confident, and celebrated.
