| Description of Duties: | Support the Sports Program Coordinator in teaching children the basics of baseball, including engaging kids during programming, including drills and baseball exercises. At all times serve as a positive role model for youth promoting teamwork, community-building and personal/social skill development, in addition to baseball specific development. |

| Skills Gained/Related Careers: | Volunteers will gain valuable experience working with diverse, at-risk youth. Volunteers who demonstrate dedication, reliability and leadership skills may, upon request, receive character references from the Program Coordinator for commitments lasting longer than one month. Volunteers will also have access to scheduled training opportunities. |

| Time Commitment: | Daytime 4-5:30pm, preferably once a week, ASAP to end of September, in Winnipeg's West End. Learning done outside but with no actual baseball diamond. |
