Description of Duties:

As a volunteer with the Riverview Health Centre Foundation, you are an essential part of delivering a safe, inclusive, and successful event. Volunteers are expected to:



  • Arrive on time and stay for the duration of your scheduled shift

  • Be proactive and ask questions when unsure

  • Treat all participants, staff, and fellow volunteers with kindness and respect

  • Follow instructions from event organizers and supervisors

  • Represent RHCF in a professional, positive, and welcoming manner

  • Dress appropriately for the weather and for your assigned role

  • Notify the Volunteer Coordinator as soon as possible if you're unable to attend

  • Stay flexible and open to last-minute changes


Responsibilities:



  • Review the volunteer job descriptions

  • Attend the Volunteer Orientation night to meet the crew and review the roles with them

  • Organize the supplies for pre-event registration

  • Ensure the registration supplies for are ready for event day

  • Ensure the volunteers get hydration and breaks as needed

  • Troubleshoot issues

  • Manage registration line-ups

  • Ensure registration area supplies are packed up and the tent is cleaned up

  • Document supplies not used

  • Provide feedback and recommendations for next year to the Event Management Team
