Organizational Description: Chalmers Neighbourhood Renewal Corporation is a new organization within the Chalmers Neighbourhood located in the Winnipeg community of Elmwood. We work with current and former residents, businesses, service providers and supporters to plan and work on initiatives that benefit our Chalmers Neighbourhood and the broader community of Elmwood.

Description of Duties:

  • Assist with basic food preparation (washing, cutting ingredients)

  • Clean and sanitize kitchen and work areas

  • Wash dishes and kitchen equipment

  • Support meal serving to clients/community members

  • Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines

  • Help keep the kitchen organized and stocked

   
Skills Required:

  • Basic food handling and kitchen skills

  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Teamwork and collaboration

  • Good communication skills

  • Time management and organization

  • Attention to detail

  • Physical ability to stand for 2hours and lift light items
