Description of Duties:

As a volunteer with the Riverview Health Centre Foundation, you are an essential part of delivering a safe, inclusive, and successful event. Volunteers are expected to:



  • Arrive on time and stay for the duration of your scheduled shift

  • Be proactive and ask questions when unsure

  • Treat all participants, staff, and fellow volunteers with kindness and respect

  • Follow instructions from event organizers and supervisors

  • Represent RHCF in a professional, positive, and welcoming manner

  • Dress appropriately for the weather and for your assigned role

  • Notify the Volunteer Coordinator as soon as possible if you're unable to attend

  • Stay flexible and open to last-minute changes


Responsibilities:



  • Set up and oversee the breakfast and beverage station

  • Refill supplies such as coffee, juice, and snacks

  • Keep the area clean and accessible for riders

  • Pack up supplies, clean up area and move to lunch service area

  • Set up lunch food service for returning riders

  • ensure proper meals are given to those with gluten free or vegetarian preferences (clearly marked)

  • Restock drinks, chips, and other food items as needed

  • Keep the lunch area clean, organized, and running smoothly

  • Monitor food quantities and communicate with event managers if supplies run low

  • Ensure a positive and welcoming experience for all participants

Be friendly and comfortable interacting with the public. Be attentive, organized, and keep the area tidy.
