Description of Duties:

Looking for a fun, hands-on way to meet people, learn new skills, and give back to your community? Come be part of something special at Orioles Bike Cage - a volunteer-powered bike shop in the West End!

The Orioles Bike Cage is a program ran and supported by the Orioles Community Centre. Our shop provides by-donation repairs and refurbishes bikes for resale-making cycling more accessible for everyone.

You'll get the chance to:
- Learn how to repair and maintain bikes (No experience needed. We'll teach you!)
- Connect with a welcoming, community-minded crew
- Share knowledge and help others get rolling
- Enjoy great conversations, good vibes, and music while you work

We're open to the public every Tuesday evening (6:30-9:30 PM), year-round, and we're currently looking for dedicated volunteers from spring through fall. With enough volunteer support, we'd be excited to continue offering a women and 2SLGBTQIA+ night on Thursdays - help us make it happen! Under 18 volunteers are okay, but we will require an adult guardian's signature and contact info.

Can't commit weekly? We also take part in events throughout the year where extra help may be required!

Curious if it's a good fit? Sign up for an orientation night and see what we're all about. We'd love to meet you! We're hoping to have an orientation in early April and then have a couple of evenings to teach you some bike repairs before the busy season starts up.
