| Description of Duties: | This position is responsible for encouraging patients to take part in a creative art activity, and to further assist in this by providing materials and an explanation of the project so the patient understands the parameters of the project. This may take place in several different areas of the hospital. Volunteers in this role will offer patients the opportunity to make art. Volunteers will be trained by professional artists on various avenues of art in order to be able to offer and encourage patients in their art making journey. No art experience needed, but all volunteers must be comfortable entering medical units, approaching patients in their room and offering an activity and conversation. |
