| Description of Duties: | Want to provide wellness support at Winnipeg Folk Festival? Survivor's Hope Crisis Centre runs the SARAH Wellness Support Team in the Festival Campground at Winnipeg Folk Fest. Duties would include: - providing support to festival goers in the festival campground. - support can include domestic and/or sexual violence support, substance use, harm reduction, finding campsites/friends, supporting people in leaving the festival, providing resources, etc. -completing on call documentation when a call is completed. - walking around the festival campground to promote our services, vigilance, and to engage with festival goers. |
| Skills Required: | Looking for compassionate & emphatic people who want to provide support to folks who may need support during the festival. Schooling or lived experience is great but not necessary. |
| Skills Gained/Related Careers: | Must attend all training dates listed: - Saturday & Sunday April 11 & 12, 2026 9:30-4:30 in person, in Selkirk - Saturday & Sunday April 25 & 26, 2026 9:30-4:30 online - Sunday June 7, 2026 9:30-4:30 in person in Selkirk & Birds Hill Park Must be available for 3 shifts during Winnipeg Folk Festival from July 8-13, 2026. Each volunteer will get camping access at festival campground, all weekend festival pass & one meal during their shift. |

| Time Commitment: | Daytime , Evening , Weekend Schedule is made based on volunteers availability. Availability is asked for in May. We provide 24 hour wellness support from Wednesday July 8-Monday July 13, 2026. |
