Description of Duties:

Support FortWhyte Alive's variety of nature based programming by volunteering!


Our Public Programs include:



  • Nature Hikes/ Snowshoeing

  • Ice Fishing Festival

  • Crafts

  • The Lake Shaker (18+ event)

  • Bonfires/Marshmallow or Bannock Roasts

  • World Water Day

  • Earth Day

  • Polar Adventures

  • Storytelling

  • French nature programs


Whether you like leading groups on nature hikes, storytelling around the fire, helping visitors learn to ice fish or just have a passion for the environment, public programs at FortWhyte Alive may be a great fit!

   
Skills Required:

  • Enthusiasm for nature

  • Ability to work with/communicate with visitors

  • Mobility for hiking/snowshoeing roles

  • Ability to guide groups of people (hike leading roles)
