| Description of Duties: | Finance Audit and Risk Committee (FAR) For financial reporting, setting of internal controls, and makes the recommendation of an auditor to Council to assess the financial condition of the organization on an annual basis. These functions ensure the organization operates in a financially prudent manner with (i) appropriate controls and checks and balances to safeguard assets and (ii) processes to identify and mitigate financial risks. FAR committee is chaired by the Treasurer of the Council of the College of Paramedics of Manitoba. The committee consists of 2 paramedic members of Council; 2 public members of Council; one non-Council paramedic member; and one non-Council public representative. Honorariums and expenses are provided for in keeping with the College policies. |

| Time Commitment: | Evening , Flexible Hours FAR holds regular quarterly meetings with an additional 1-2 meetings per year. Meetings are typically held from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. during the week. Meetings are held virtually via MS Teams. Honorariums are paid to committee members for meeting attendance. |
