Description of Duties:

Community Housing Advocates support individuals and families facing housing instability, eviction risk, or challenges navigating housing systems. Volunteers assist clients with practical tasks such as completing forms, connecting with community services, replacing identification, and understanding processes with the Residential Tenancies Branch.


Working alongside staff, volunteers may help with follow-ups, referrals, and basic advocacy to ensure clients are able to access the services and resources they need. Volunteers may also assist with maintaining simple case notes and helping track client progress.


Because our organization is growing, volunteers will also have the opportunity to help shape and develop our casework program, including contributing ideas for improving our intake process and client support systems.


This role is ideal for individuals interested in housing justice, social services, public policy, or law who want meaningful hands-on experience helping members of the community.
