Description of Duties:

Want to become more involved in your community and Canada's democratic process? Want to meet other passionate youth who want to make a change? Sounds like this is the opportunity for you!


RISE is a 15 week program where you will get the opportunity to co-create and implement a community project. Working with a small group of youth and an experienced program coordinator you will have access to skill-building, workshops, networking opportunities, and a $4000 budget that will support you in bringing your ideas to life.


RISE is designed for young people with little to no previous experience in volunteering. We mean it! You don't need to have ANY previous experience to join!


The next cohort of RISE runs from: January 20, 2026 - April 28, 2026. Deadline to apply is November 30, 2025.


What can you expect from RISE?


- 15 week program that guides you through the process of learning how to engage with community and create a community project/initiative with a budget of $4000


- Various skill building and networking opportunities


- All expenses paid, in-person national retreat that will connect you with youth across Canada

Who is Eligible?


- Those who are 18 - 30 year old (inclusive)


- Those who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or those with refugee status


- No education, volunteer, or work experience required

Ambassadors are expected to attend a three hour in-person meeting every week for the duration of the program. The meeting will take place on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evening from 6:00pm - 9:00pm (day of the week to be chosen by the group of Ambassadors).


Ambassadors are expected to contribute an additional three hours of time outside of the in-person meetings.
