Organizational Description: In the summer of 2025, over 4,000 Indigenous athletes, coaches, and officials will gather in Sagkeeng Anicinabe Nation, on Treaty 1 Territory, to celebrate the spirit of competition. Throughout the twelve days of events, communities will welcome thousands of visitors.

The Manitoba Aboriginal Sports and Recreation Council is proud to partner with Sagkeeng Anicinabe Nation to host this remarkable celebration of sports, volunteering, and community.

Description of Duties:

In the summer of 2025, over 2,000 Indigenous athletes, coaches, and officials will gather at Sagkeeng Anicinabe Nation, on Treaty 1 Territory, to celebrate the spirit of competition. Throughout the event, the communities of Sagkeeng, Lac du Bonnet, Powerview-Pinefalls and Wanipigow will welcome thousands of visitors.


Volunteers will assist with overall Games operations for various roles such as:


Registration/Venue Hosts
Food Services
Cultural/Elder Services
Security/Access Control
Medical/First Aid
Special Events/Entertainment
Opening/Closing Ceremonies & Medals
Technology
Signage
Transportation
Accommodations
Merchandise Sales
Marketing & Communications
Sport and venue volunteers
Sports include: Archery, Basketball, Athletics, Ball Hockey, Golf, Lacrosse, and a Results Centre.
