Description of Duties:

Friendly Visitor Volunteers are assigned to clients in our Older Adult Services Program who are seeking companionship. This role allows volunteers to relate with clients in a friendly way and establish meaningful connections. Friendly visitor volunteers can meet with clients in their home or plan to go on outings such as to a coffee shop. JCFS may be able to reimburse volunteers depending on the location of the outing. These outings will need to be predetermined and shared with JCFS staff and sanctioned by the client; however, any ideas are welcomed!

JCFS asks that volunteers commit to a 6 month schedule with volunteer shifts on a weekly or bi-weekly schedule. This allows for consistency with the volunteer and client.
