| Description of Duties: |
- Facilitate and support wellness, educational, recreational, and community engagement activities for seniors participating in the Safe Futures Senior Empowerment & Wellness Hub
- Assist in organizing workshops on digital literacy, wellness, elder rights, fraud prevention, financial literacy, and community resources
- Support seniors during group activities, cultural outings, social gatherings, and educational sessions
- Encourage social inclusion, participation, independence, and positive community connections among seniors
- Provide respectful, compassionate, and culturally responsive support to participants from diverse backgrounds
- Assist seniors with basic technology use, including phones, tablets, laptops, email, and video communication platforms
- Support one-on-one navigation and referral services by connecting seniors to community programs and available resources
- Help prepare activity materials, attendance records, outreach materials, and program documentation
- Collaborate with staff, volunteers, caregivers, and community partners to support successful program delivery
- Assist with outreach, participant engagement, and promotion of senior wellness activities within the community
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment during all activities and events
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and special community events as required

- Volunteer position with flexible scheduling based on program activities and participant needs
- Expected commitment of approximately 4-12 hours per week depending on availability and assigned responsibilities
- Availability for daytime, evenings, or occasional weekends may be required for workshops, wellness activities, cultural outings, outreach events, and community gatherings
- Participation in orientation, training sessions, team meetings, and program activities as scheduled
- Volunteers are encouraged to maintain consistent attendance, professionalism, and active engagement to support meaningful and positive experiences for seniors at HSDE Canada
