| Volunteer Opportunity Details | |
| Description of Duties: | Sort through sports and outdoor activity-related items donated to the thrift shop. Individual will sort through, test (if required), assemble (if required), clean, and price donated items and place on customer floor in the designated sport area. |
| Skills Required: | Knowledge of sports equipment and active lifestyle equipment an asset Passion for sports an asset Sorting and organizing skills Light cleaning Testing items Ability to assemble various donated items i.e. tents, sports equipment etc. an asset Physically fit, able to lift items, assemble, take items onto shop floor |
| Skills Gained/Related Careers: | Ability to work as part of a team Discernment in the value of a product, how to assess and market items for sale Familiarization with non-profit organizations and community building |
| Age: | 18-30, 31-54, 55+ |
| Time Commitment: | Daytime, Weekend Daytime The shop is open Monday to Saturday, 9:30 am - 5:00 pm. Expectations for shifts are generally 4 hours. It can be 9:00 am to 1:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. |
