| Description of Duties: | Community Financial, in partnership with Canada Revenue Agency, operates free Community Volunteer Income Tax Program tax clinics for individuals with modest incomes. Volunteers in this role will help support those filing taxes by printing and preparing completed documents for mailing to the clients we serve. Operating from our temporary tax clinic in the Norquay Builing (401 York Ave, Winnipeg) you'll be part of an energetic and collegial atmosphere. If you enjoy organizing, working with your hands, have some familiarity with technology, and are very detail oriented, this may be a good fit for you! |

| Skills Gained/Related Careers: | Volunteers will gain insight into the complex situations that our CVITP clients may face, and will work as part of a team, collaborating to successfully complete the tax filing process from start to finish. Volunteers will also gain experience with our organization and the CVITP and therefore this could be a good first step to someone interested in volunteering as a tax preparer in the future. |

| Time Commitment: | Daytime Tax Clinics will operate from the last week of February through the end of April 2027. Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of one 6 hour shift for each of the weeks in this period. Many volunteers wish to work more than one shift, and we are happy to accommodate them where possible. Our main tax clinic operates weekdays (closed holidays and weekends), and this role would be mainly during the hours of 9:00am to 3:00pm. |
