Organizational Description: Things is a boutique selling consigned and donated furnishings and household items. We are a non-profit organization owned by the Volunteer Committee for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, operated and dedicated to raising funds for the RWB.

Description of Duties:

Boutique Staff



  • Greet and engage with customers

  • Answer inquiries in person and on the phone

  • Accurately handle cash and debit/credit transactions using a POS system

  • Assist with general store functions

  • Participate in start and end of day procedures


Special Events



  • Volunteer at our pop-up boutique at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet's main-stage productions at the Centennial Concert Hall.

Boutique



  • Reliable

  • Experience in customer service is an asset

  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently

  • Experience in specific areas such as bookkeeping and finance

  • Enthusiastic volunteers who have a positive attitude and want to learn the ins and outs of our consignment and donation processes


Special Events



  • A positive attitude and desire to support the arts and assist with off-site location events

  • No experience needed, this is a learning role

  • We train on our simple sales system
