| Description of Duties: | Volunteer mentors will remotely assist clients in our Remote After-School Mentorship Program for newcomer and refugee children and youth in Grades 1 through 12, providing important settlement and orientation information while fostering positive relationships and helping clients practice their language skills. |
| Skills Required: | Responsible, reliable, patient, committed to the program, must be a positive role model. Experience working with youth and working remotely an asset but not necessarily required |
| Skills Gained/Related Careers: | Work with youth, gain leadership and communication skills. Skills relevant to education careers. |
| Age: | 16-17, 18-30, 31-54, 55+ |
| Time Commitment: | Evening , Remote Volunteering 2.5 hours per week - minimum 3 months. |
