Description of Duties:

The volunteer will provide information and sell confectionery and craft items from the volunteer Services Gift Shop in the lobby of CancerCare Manitoba.
Duties include:



  • Provide friendly assistance to patients and visitors to CancerCare Manitoba

  • Respond to general inquiries clearly and accurately

  • Sell snacks and craft items

  • Maintain accurate record of sales

  • Reconciliation of cash box and sales

  • Set up and take down of craft items in Gift Shop

   
Skills Required:

  • The volunteer will need good communication skills to be able to give information clearly.

  • Empathy, patience and friendliness are required.

  • A good knowledge of the location of clinics and departments within CCMB is important.

  • The position requires accuracy in recording sales and handling cash.

  • Currently seeking daytime availability, Monday - Friday.

  • Shift times include 8:30am-12:00pm or 12:00-3:30pm.
