| Description of Duties: | Valley Gardens Community Centre is located in East Kildonan. We welcome coaches for all age levels from our TimBits to U17 Rec teams. Coaches will have opportunities for training and are required to complete an age appropriate Grassroots coaching course as well as a Respect in Sports online course. Our Mini Soccer/TimBits coaches arrive at the practice ground a few minutes earlier than scheduled time to enable timely start of session. You will set up equipment, develop strategies and drills and implement same during practice session. You will monitor all players during practice sessions to identify strengths and weaknesses of each child playing. You will observe players during drills and games and identify all special requirements to implement customized assistance as required and to give proper instructions and correct mistakes. At older ages, coaches will lead training sessions as well as guide game play with Winnipeg Youth Soccer League Association (WYSA) games in accordance with the Canada Soccer Association guidelines for player development outlined in coaching programs. |
