Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: The Zoo Camp Crew Volunteers are 14 to 18 years old whose main role is to support the Zoo Camp Counselors in their daily camp activities throughout the zoo. Camps run Monday to Friday every week of the summer. Volunteers will greet the campers (5 -12 years) at the start of camp, play games, organize crafts materials, befriend campers all the while exploring the zoo and park.
Skills Required: Loves children, nature and animals.
High energy and lots of patience.
Ability to follow directions and anticipate the needs of the campers and counselors.
Skills Gained/Related Careers: Ability to work with children 5 to 12 years of age.
Understanding of recreation and education programming.

Time Commitment: Daytime
Zoo Camp Crew must commit to a minimum of one 40 hour week during the summer. Shifts run from Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 4:30pm. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up for more than one week in the summer
