Description of Duties:

OurToba is seeking a volunteer Treasurer to join the Board of Directors. The Treasurer would ideally carry out the following responsibilities:

• Oversee OurToba's financial management and budgeting process.

• Maintain accurate financial records.

• Collaborate with the Board on long-term financial planning.

• Educate board members on financial issues and best practices.

• Attend board meetings (roughly 4 a year).

• Attend at least some of OurToba's exciting events, if your schedule allows. Planned events include fun, casual get-togethers (e.g. a walk in Assiniboine Forest); talks with industry experts; workshops in directing/cinematography/lighting; a Film Festival; a Cold Read where actors read out drafts, etc.

   
Skills Required:

• Experience in bookkeeping or financial management, or a desire to learn the same.

• Commitment to the mission and values of OurToba, including supporting women, non-binary, and gender diverse Manitobans in film. We're here to build community, provide educational and
networking opportunities, and have fun at the same time.
