Description of Duties:

- Make a few simple props out of wood, mechanical/electronic items and materials from a hardware store.


- Install the props on the outdoor set before the performance.


- Animate the props on cue during the performance.


- Remove the props from the set after the performance.

   
Skills Required:

Must have (one or more) active skills, tools and experience with:


- carpentry/woodworking


- mechanical devices/electronics (battery operated)


- small hoses, water devices & pumps


- wireless controllers


Previous experience with theatre set or film production is an asset, but not required.


Volunteers must have a vehicle and their own tools.


Volunteers must be able to quickly assemble these items.

   
Skills Gained/Related Careers:

This is anticipated to become an annual Manitoba event for National Forest Week.


These positions offer volunteers with training and experience for entry into theatre and film production.


Volunteers will receive recognition for their involvement with:


- A Production Crew T-shirt


- A Certificate of Recognition


- Acknowledgement on a website for an upcoming film production.

The Producer will make arrangements with volunteers to meet at set locations in Bird's Hill Provincial Park for orientation and planning.


Volunteers are required to be on-site for 8:00am on Sunday, September 22nd for props setup and set rehearsal.


They will animate the props on cue during the 1:00pm to 2:30pm performance and remove the props from the set after the performance.
