Description of Duties:

Recruiting for various areas within Winnipeg


Summary of Duties: Assist with guiding students (typically in grades 6 to 8) through the immunization clinics including assisting with crowd control, monitoring students who look anxious and scared, handing out consent forms and monitoring students post immunization.


This is a seasonal volunteer role taking place in the Fall and Spring of each year. Clinics operate Monday to Friday during school hours between 8:30am and 12:00pm and 12:45pm and 3:30pm. Fall clinics begin mid-September and go through November. Spring clinics start at the end of March and conclude mid-June.

   
Skills Required:

-Current (within 6 months) and satisfactory Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check


-Willingness to attend virtual WRHA volunteer orientation and role specific training


-Previous experience with interacting with children/youth is an asset


-Ability and comfortable with approaching children/youth in a friendly, supportive manner; comfortable with people from different cultures and backgrounds


-Physically able to perform tasks, must be able to be on one's feet for up to 3 hours

A minimum of 2 shifts a month or 5 per clinic season.


Clinics take place Monday to Friday during school hours between 8:30 and 12:00 and 12:45 to 3:30.
