LiteracyWORKS envisions a Winnipeg in which all adults are literate and able to participate fully in their cultural, economic and social worlds. Through classes and one-to-one tutoring, and based on the individual needs of each student, LiteracyWORKS provides people with essential literacy skills to enhance self-sufficiency and quality of life. These include reading, writing, numeracy and oral communications skills. | Description of Duties: | - Attend and participate in monthly Board meetings and the Annual General Meeting as a voting member. |

| Time Commitment: | Evening Board members are expected to attend 10 Board Meetings per year (September-June) as well as the Annual General Board Meeting. Members are expected to complete between 3-6 hours in Board-related work. |
