Description of Duties:

1. Menu Planning: Create nutritious and culturally diverse menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of youth immigrants and refugees.


2. Food Preparation: Oversee the preparation of meals, ensuring quality, taste, and presentation meet high standards.


3. Cooking Instruction: Teach basic cooking skills and techniques to youth participants, empowering them to cook healthy meals independently.


4. Food Safety: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling of food to prevent contamination and foodborne illnesses.


5. Mentorship: Provide guidance, support, and encouragement to youth participants, helping them develop culinary skills, confidence, and a sense of belonging in the community.

1. Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with participants, volunteers, and staff members from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds.


2. Culinary Expertise: Strong cooking skills and knowledge of various cuisines, ingredients, and cooking techniques to create diverse and culturally relevant menus.
