Description of Duties:
Do you love to cook? Are you looking for a way to get involved with your community? Spence Neighbourhood Association is looking for a kitchen volunteer on Fridays from 1-4:00 pm. Volunteers would assist our chef/kitchen manager with preparing meals for our daily drop in programming. SNA prepares up to 200 meals daily for teens and youth, ages 6-26. Kitchen experience an asset but not required. Should be comfortable in a fast paced and active environment.

Duties include: washing, peeling and cutting vegetables and fruits. You would also help with moving large amounts of produce and heavy pots and pans, washing dishes and serving food.

Bus tickets given if there are barriers to transportation.
   
Skills Required:
Commercial kitchen experience an asset but someone who is a confident home cook is fine too! No formal training or certificate is required.

A food handlers certification is also an asset!
