Organizational Description: Manitoba Artistic Swimming is the non-profit sport governing body for artistic swimming in the province of Manitoba incorporated in 1989. We are one of 10 member provinces and territories affiliated with our parent organization, Canada Artistic Swimming. Our purpose is to promote and develop all aspects of the sport of artistic swimming at all levels.

Description of Duties:

Canada Artistic Swimming and Manitoba Artistic Swimming will be hosting the 2024 National Qualifier from March 11-16, 2024 at Pan Am Pool. The event is scheduled to welcome over 450 athletes in the youth (13-15), junior and senior age groups from across Canada, as well as the Senior National Team. In addition, we will welcome the Canadian University Artistic Swimming League (CUASL) 2024 CUASL Canadian Championships from March 15-17. In 2023, over 230 athletes took part in the event hosted for the first time in partnership by CAS and the CUASL.


We are looking for volunteers to fill the following roles (see website for more details on each role):


- admissions table (greet spectators, hand out packages to clubs, collect admission fees)


- drivers (valid Manitoba driver's license required, use of your car with mileage rate provided)


- canteen (work in the canteen, not listed; please contact organizer for more details)


- videographers (on pool deck, video routines on iPad for technical review)


- hospitality (ensure hospitality area is clean and food is laid out)

   
Skills Required:

Most roles are 16+.


Valid Manitoba Driver's License and access to a car needed if signing up for a shift as a Driver


Comfort with iPads if signing up for a shift as Videographer.


Comfort with pay system like Square if signing up for Admission Table or Canteen
