Description of Duties:

  1. Assists Resource Centre staff with program delivery

    1. Helps to prepare program materials, photocopies and posters

    2. Prepare coffee

    3. Answer the door

    4. Assist staff in program facilitation as often as available (e.g. Crossroads Program)


  2. Meets and Welcomes Resource Centre guests (Register first time; Sign-in thereafter)

    1. Brief Needs Assessment when signing people in

    2. Provide resource information based on individual needs

    3. Assist with computer access; facilitate/monitor computer use

    4. Assist guests in connecting to various programs


  3. Maintain Resource Centre Space:

    1. Assist with keeping library and community resource information stocked and up to date

    2. Go over Oath of Confidentiality with Presenters and have it signed. No Presenter will be allowed to participate without a signed Oath of Confidentiality form on file.

    3. Keep space organized, tidy, and clean


   
Skills Required:

  • Age Requirement: 19 years of age +

  • Excellent written and verbal communications

  • Computer skills

  • Able to work evenings

  • If you have special skills and talents that you would like to share, please let us know and a workshop opportunity can be created. Current needs are musicians, cooks, art & crafters.

  • Be respectful, nonjudgmental and culturally appropriate

  • Be pro-active, engaging, reliable as well as motivated to make a difference in other people's lives

  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Persons check, Adult Abuse & Child Abuse Registry Checks
