Community Garden Co-ordinator

Are you passionate about gardening? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to serve as our garden coordinator.
Responsibilities include, allocating garden plots to community members, ensuring an equitable distribution of available space.
Manage applications from potential gardeners, maintain a database of gardeners, and communicate with past, potential, and current year participants.
Maintain open and clear communication with gardeners, providing guidance, updates, and support as needed.
Ideally this volunteer would be a person who lives in the area who can attend to the gardens on a regular basis throughout the season.

Passion for gardening
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Knowledge of gardening practices and techniques is a plus
Ability to attend board meetings to update the board on garden activities/issues. Gardens are located at the South end of Eric St. on the Bishop Grandin Greenway.

Time commitment is flexible, depending on the needs of the gardens. There are approximately 20 plots and 12 gardeners.
There are evening board meetings once a month.
