Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: The Canadian Conservation Corps (CCC) is a really cool opportunity to get some work experience if you're 18 to 30 years old and interested in the environmental/conservation field!

The program is split up into 3 stages: Stage 1 is a two week Wilderness Adventure - backcountry canoe trip in Atakaki Provincial Park),

Stage 2 you do a three month conservation field internship with one of their partner organizations (Ex: Pacific Rim National Park, Nature Conservancy of Canada, Hope For Wildlife) and then in

Stage 3 you would do a service project in your community.

You also get certifications in Remote/Wilderness First Aid, the Outdoor Council of Canada's Field Leader course, and the CWF's WILD Education resources.

They also cover the costs of your housing, groceries and travel for the first two stages. If you have other commitments, CWF also offers CCC Flex for those wanting to find adventure and conservation opportunities in their community and to work around a busy schedule. Skills Required: Must be comfortable with the backcountry and have experience with multi-day paddling trips

There is a longer time frame for this commitment - 4 months away from home partaking in stage 1 and stage 2 but then return home for stage 3.
