Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: Secretary - The Secretary is responsible for preparing, maintaining and distributing meeting minutes. This role is for a two-year term.

We are also seeking Board Officers to take on a variety of roles/tasks, including chair positions of sub-committees. Please contact us for more information about other possible roles.

Finally, we are seeking Board Members-at-Large. Members-at-Large may join the Board without taking on a specific role in order to familiarize themselves with the procedures and practices of the Board. They are then encouraged to take on a formal position.

The ideal candidate would be familiar with the teaching practice of ESL/EAL and with the sector generally. Teaching credentials are not required, but experience in the field is highly valued.

Related qualifications and experience will also be considered. Prior experience on a board is an asset, but we are willing to train those without prior board experience.
