Volunteer Opportunity Details | |
Description of Duties: | - Provide a friendly, visible presence in the entrance of CancerCare Manitoba - Provide direction to treatment areas and various clinics in CCMB and HSC - Provide information and support to patients and families - Share information to promote patient education sessions and resources - Be available to assist with visitor traffic - Provide assistance with clerical tasks as needed |
Skills Required: | - Must be responsible, able to work independently and follow direction - Excellent communication skills - Listen and interact constructively - Pay attention to detail - Have a good knowledge of location of departments and programs in both HSC and CancerCare Manitoba - Demonstrate a friendly and caring manner towards patients and visitors - Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) - Maintain patient confidentiality at all times |
