We are committed to providing quality services that are consumer driven and responsive. Our services consist of adaptive/adjustment services that recognize the unique needs of Deaf-Blind people. We are committed to an informed and timely process, the provision of accessible service and the recognition of the individuality and differing needs within our target population.
Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: Taking monthly minutes at board meetings. Meetings are held on zoom and recorded. Minutes must be done in a weeks time and kept confidential.
Skills Required: Good listening skills, with the ability to pick out the important details. Typing and writing skills are an asset.
Knowledge/understanding of virtual/hybrid meetings over zoom
Previous minute taking experience or having served on a board or a minute taker course
Skills Gained/Related Careers: Minute taking
Learning how a board functions
Learning how a non profit organization functions/works
Gain awareness of various communication methods
Age: 18-30, 31-54, 55+
Time Commitment: Daytime, Evening
Meetings currently are held from 2-4pm.
