Organizational Description: The Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada is a non-profit dedicated to preserving the history of aviation in Western Canada. Showcasing 27 aircraft and many unique artefacts presented from a story-driven approach, the museum is designed to educate, inspire and entertain.

RAMWC seeks to honor and commemorate the history of Indigenous Peoples and aviation in Western Canada while engaging with the complex history of travel, trade and relationships in this place. It is committed to the calls to actions of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and facilitating a safe place for reconciliation to occur.

Description of Duties: The volunteer will assist visitors with the purchase of admission and memberships to the museum and items from our giftshop. The volunteer will be knowledgeable on prices, promotions, and other important information and will be able to successfully communicate this to our visitors. The volunteer will be working with a point of sale machine and must be comfortable handling cash and card transactions.

The volunteer will also have a strong understanding of the mission and vision of RAMWC and will be able summarize our purpose to the public. The role requires the volunteer to be aware of RAMWC's collection of aircraft, artefacts, and items available for purchase and able to relay this information to visitors in an exciting and engaging manner meeting our expectations of a first-class facility.

- Strong interest in Canadian aviation history
