Description of Duties: | Join us and become a CCS Manitoba Provincial Advisory Board member! We offer networking opportunities, a chance to build and use your skill set, and meet new people who share the same passion about the cause! Skills Required: | Role of the Provincial Advisory Boards: Promoting , participating in, and supporting the mission and activities of CCS provincially by helping to: FUNDRAISE: Fundraise by participating in campaigns and activities throughout the year PROMOTE CCS: Promote interests that represent the organization in your own community to CCS donors and volunteers BE AN AMBASSADOR: Act as an ambassador for CCS within your community by advocating on important issues and polices that will help improve the lives of Canadians living with cancer GET INVOLVED: help spread the word by telling your own story or sharing those from our social media pages Expectations of Provincial Advisory Board Members: Commit to a 2-year term that may be renewed for a second term of 2 years, to a maximum of 4 years Make an annual financial contribution to CCS as set by the provincial advisory board (Donations or fundraising) Attend a minimum of 80% of board meeting annually (meeting are usually held quarterly or more frequent when required) Participate in at least 2 priority board activities annually Actively commit to advocating and championing CCS in your community Be informed and knowledgeable of trends and developments in your community that may affect the organization Actively participate in board discussion and listen to other member's opinions and concerns Work collaboratively with board members and CCS staff to support our mission and activities |
