| Volunteer Opportunity Details | |
| Description of Duties: | FortWhyte Alive is looking for volunteers who enjoy the outdoors and understand the importance of equipping future generation for sustainable living. As a program leader, volunteers receive training and ongoing guidance in areas of social history, environmental education and outdoor adventure. Volunteers have an opportunity to share their teaching and leadership experience, meet new people, and learn new skills while staying active. |
| Skills Required: | * Interest in nature and the outdoors * Enthusiasm * Enjoyment of children and/or youth * Excellent interpersonal and communication skill * Educator background an asset |
| Skills Gained/Related Careers: | * Opportunity to share your teaching and leadership experience * Meet new people who are also devoted to nature and outdoors * Learn new skills while staying active * Feel appreciated and have fun. |

| Time Commitment: | Daytime Commitment is half day per week. Shift range from 2 to 4 hours during the weekdays from September to June. |
