| Volunteer Opportunity Details | |
| Description of Duties: | We are looking to expand our Board of Directors to ensure we continue to represent our community. What will you be responsible for? 1. Contributing to the decisions related to the direction in which the agency is heading 2. The outcomes of all programs that are operated through the auspices of the agency 2. Self-evaluation of the board and its' work 3. Attendance of at least 70% of meetings (-one per month) throughout the year, and share in the job of representing the board an community functions 4. To notify the administrator regarding availability for meetings and arrive prepared 5. To be aware of trends in the community with respect to political, regulatory, economic, sociological, technological and other trends and issues beyond our control, but which may have an impact on our ability to be successful, organizationally and in the future 6. To share in the work of the board by volunteering to work on ad hoc committees |
| Skills Required: | What qualifications are desirable? 1. Experience working in the communities we support, or ownership of a business in the communities we support 2. Residence in the communities we support to better understand the needs of the community 3. Financial acumen 4. Prior volunteerism experience 5.
