Volunteer Opportunity Details | |
Description of Duties: | In this role, you will be supporting the Head of Operations (Manitoba) in distributing surplus, edible food to local not-for-profit agency partners. You will represent Second Harvest at food donor locations in Manitoba and help facilitate the distribution of surplus food to designated partner agencies. |
Skills Required: | - Minimum age of 16*. - A friendly and professional manner, including excellent customer service. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to lift 30-50 lbs. Physical requirements may also include bending, twisting, reaching overhead, lifting, squatting and kneeling. - Valid Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle is considered an asset. *If under 18 years of age, you will be required to have an adult volunteer accompany you during your shift. |
