| Organizational Description: | As the largest sporting event ever hosted in the Province of Manitoba, the 2023 World Police and Fire Games is an exciting and rewarding community-wide sports event that takes place from July 28 - August 6, 2023. Held biennially, the World Police and Fire Games is an Olympic-style competition with more than 8,500 athletes representing law enforcement, firefighters, and police officers from more than 50 countries across the world. These athletes compete in more than 60 unique sports. Founded and hosted several times in the United States, past host countries include, Australia, Canada, China, Northern Ireland, Spain, and Sweden. Join the once-in-a-lifetime experience! Volunteer for the 2023 World Police & Fire Games in Winnipeg, Manitoba! Interested volunteers will be able to register starting February 14, 2023. |

| Volunteer Opportunity Details | |
| Description of Duties: | We are in search of volunteers to assist with before, during, and after Games time in a variety of different areas such as game ambassadors, venue management, food and beverages, transportation, information technology services, results and medal ceremonies, and more! **Link below is a volunteer interest form. Registration link will go live on or before February 14th** |
| Skills Required: | - Patience and willingness to answer questions - Personable, polite and enthusiastic - Provide excellent customer service - Good communication skills - Basic admin and computer skills may be required - Ability to work in a team environment - Ability to be physically active for prolonged periods of time - Standing and/or sitting for several hours at a time both indoors and outdoors - May be required to do some lifting (+30lbs) - Additional language skills a plus **We require all volunteers to be 16 years of age or older** |
