Description of Duties: RECRUITING FOR FALL 2023 CAMPAIGN

Assist with guiding students (typically in grades 6 to 12) through the immunization clinics including assisting with crowd control, monitoring students who look anxious and scared, and monitoring students post immunization.
Skills Required: - Current (within 6 months) and satisfactory Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
- Willingness to attend virtual WRHA volunteer orientation and role specific training
- Previous experience with interacting with children/youth is an asset
- Ability and comfortable with approaching children/youth in a friendly, supportive manner; comfortable with people from different cultures and backgrounds
- Physically able to perform tasks, must be able to be on one's feet for up to 3 hours
- Be available and committed to 2 shifts per month per campaign
Skills Gained/Related Careers: This volunteer position provides an opportunity to learn new skills, explore careers in Public Health and make a personal contribution to the enhancement of healthcare while providing a service to others.

Time Commitment: Daytime
This is a seasonal volunteer role taking place in the fall and spring of each year. Fall Clinics typically take place between mid-September and mid-December. Clinics operate Monday to Friday during school hours between 8:30am and 12:00pm and 12:45pm and 3:30pm. Spring clinics start at the end of April and conclude mid-June. A minimum of two shifts per month is required during the months that the clinics are taking place and we request that a commitment is made for the entire school year.
