Organizational Description: | The Koru Centre Inc. is a newly founded nonprofit organization with the mission to bring freedom and healing to survivors of sexual violence through community efforts that does not discriminate based on age, job, economics status, sex, race, gender or religion. We are a centre that supports survivors at every point in their healing journey, may it be at the beginning or later on. We aim to be a community support to be there for survivors who are dealing with their personal trauma. We also aim to be a support for the secondary victims of sexual violence, these being parents, friends, partners and loved ones of survivors. |

Volunteer Opportunity Details | |
Description of Duties: | If you are a person who identifies as a survivor of sexual violence and would like to volunteer your time, please consider partnering with us. We are looking for people of lived experience to be an extra resource for our clients, helping them to navigate the healing journey. Please note that we will never ask for details regarding your lived experiences. |
