Organizational Description: The NorWest Co-op Community Food Centre (CFC) is a welcoming space where people come together to share a good meal, join a cooking group, grow a garden, learn about healthy eating and get active on issues in the community.
Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: - Planning and Preparing meals
- Childminding children ages 0 - 6 years old
- Setting up for different programs
- cleaning up when the program is complete
Skills Required: - Willing to engage with families with children 0-6 years old
- Kitchen experience is an asset
- Friendly and outgoing
- Caring and Compassionate
- Able to lift 25 lbs
- Punctual
- Able to commit to one or two shifts per week
Skills Gained/Related Careers: Gain skills in careers with food preparation and childminding.
Age: 17 and under, 18-30, 31-54, 55+
Time Commitment: Daytime
Mondays: 9:30 am - 12:00 pm Thursdays: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
