Organizational Description: We run an annual social studies themed fair for students. We are entirely volunteer run. Our volunteers are teachers, people in the heritage sector, and others who enjoy Canadian history and working with students.
Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: Helping organize a social studies themed fair for students along with other volunteers.
Skills Required: A love of Canadian history and heritage.
A desire to create a cool learning opportunity for students.
A willingness to collaborate with others.
A willingness to try different tasks and take on new roles as needed.
Skills Gained/Related Careers: Event planning skills.
Working with a team.
Age: 18-30, 31-54, 55+
Time Commitment: Daytime, Evening
2-3 hours per month. The day of the Fair in early May is a day when everyone is asked to stay all day, if possible, to run the Fair.
