Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: -Attend group information workshops about Trades Qualification and Apprenticeship Manitoba
-Be prepared to show initiative and assist with clients where needed
-Be a model of English language use
Skills Required: -Knowledge about current information on recognition requirements for careers
-Experience in specific careers e.g.: Nurses, Welders & Teachers etc.
-Assessment services
-Work experience hours calculation
-Ability to meet and build relationships
-Keep private client information confidential
Skills Gained/Related Careers: -The Volunteer Coordinator will match volunteers with appropriate clients and roles based on volunteer interest and availability
-Time commitment will vary depending on the event, volunteer role, and volunteer availability
-Assistance in completing necessary forms and documentation
-Communication assistance with Apprenticeship Manitoba
-Provide ongoing client support throughout the credentials assessment process
-Provide regular reports to the Volunteer Coordinator and Settlement Services Coordinator.
