| Organizational Description: | Henteleff Park is 50 acres of natural beauty located at 1964 St. Mary's Road, Winnipeg. The primary goal of the Henteleff Park Foundation is the preservation and enhancement of the unique landscape of the Park by planting indigenous trees and shrubs and removing invasive species of plants. The Foundation also maintains trails and provides both historical and natural history interpretation. The Park is a space where people can experience birds and other wildlife, enjoy the riparian forest, appreciate the history of the land, and participate in park re-naturalization through a variety of volunteer opportunities. |

| Description of Duties: | Remove invasive weeds from around shrubs, place woodchips and dispose of weeds as instructed. |
| Skills Required: | Ability to follow directions, pull weeds and carry weeds to designated spot. |
| Skills Gained/Related Careers: | Learn about local flora and fauna as well as contribute to preserving a local park. |
| Age: | 17 and under, 18-30, 31-54, 55+ |
| Time Commitment: | Daytime, Evening, Weekend Volunteers set their own hours, volunteering as frequently as they wish. |
